The Big Day Out.

I am known to get too excited for things and then ruin it for myself or on the completely opposite end of the scale, ruin whatever it is for everyone by doing it before them and saying how amazingly awesome it is and then they do it or see it or listen to it or whatever and then they just don’t think it is as good and yeah... so to put that whole sentence into a much shorter and more accurate sentence; I am awesome.

Anyway, the most recent amazingly awesome thing that I am super amazingly excited for is Big Day Out 2010. I have never been to a Big Day Out before, in fact the first concert I have ever been to ever was Kings of Leon this year, which was pretty awesome. Big Day Out though, will be the best... okay hold on, I don’t mean to overhype this for anyone, because it hasn’t even happened yet, but you have no idea at all how excited I am and when I say the following, it is fully justified; Big Day Out 2010 will be the best thing that has ever happened in the history of mankind ever.

It was rumoured that Muse (the best band in the world) was going to be at Big Day Out this year, and I was prepared to buy a ticket at whatever the cost is just for them, but what ended up happening is, Muse are headlining the event, and the other bands and artists that are going to be there are just as good, and by just as good I mean not as good but still some of my favourites at the moment, or ever.

So I have already mentioned Muse, the best band in the world, but then you have Calvin Harris, my favourite DJ or techno artist or whatever he is in the world, so you already have my two favourite things in their line of awesomeness, and then you have Ladyhawke, who is my favourite female artist ever. I thought that my favourite female artist was Little Boots for a while but it is Ladyhawke, she is just amazing, she is so amazing in fact that I just added Ladyhawke to the dictionary so my computer knows that she is a word and not something that deserves a little squiggly red underline thing.

Then you have Dizzee Rascal which will be amazing because I love pretty much everything of his that I have heard, and Bonkers and Holiday are two of my favourite songs of the year. Lily Allen is also coming which is insane because I love her more than you do, Lily Allen would probably be my second favourite female artist, just under Ladyhawke and tying with Little Boots. There is some rumour, and by rumour, I mean Matt Gunn told me but apparently Lily Allen has quit music or something, so she might not be coming. I really hope that this is just some bullshit rumour but yeah, this Big Day Out is looking like it is going to be the best thing that has ever happened to humanity... I just have to contain my excitement or I may ruin it for others, like I did with all those other things.
