The Memoirs of Tom Wilkin.

Thomas Wilkin, born July 8th 1992, one day after the prestigious birth of myself, Nick Cosma, to say that his life has been an amazing span of time full of achievement and glory would be an understatement. It all started when he was born, unlike most people, Thomas Wilkin was born in the Northern Area Hospital. Thomas Wilkin could be seen by most, if not all, as the perfect specimen of the human species. He had no physical or mental defects and he wasn’t allergic to anything.

His educational career started at some kindergarten that he doesn’t remember the name of, so let’s just call in…Wilkin Kindy…anyway, he met a ranger, or red head child called Nick…that is all he remembers. He then moved on to Belair Primary School, one of the most prominent primary schools in all of the Southern Hemisphere, but nothing really worth mentioning really happened in those eight years.

Primary school was over, and Tom left his friends and life behind at Belair. He had to start all over again, barely anyone moved on from Belair Primary School to Unley High School, and his unbelievably popular status that he achieved in years six and seven were worth nothing in year eight. Making new friends was a must in this new environment; he met Cam Hastwell and within the first week was canoodling at his house. Talking about Christine James, who is believed to be Cam’s first girlfriend of Unley High descent is all they seemed to do.

One day, and what is now seen as the best day of his life, Tom really felt like an ice coffee after school, but not any ice coffee, it was a FUIC, or to those of you less educated, a Farmers Union Iced Coffee. The only problem was, he was penniless, or seeing as though we live in Australia, centless, or dollarless…or something to do with the metric system. This was the fateful moment where he met the woman of his dreams, Hannah Altschwager. He asked her what any man would ask any woman of such beauty, ‘Hey, could I borrow three dollars? I’ll pay you back tomorrow.’ Not knowing who this young boy was, Hannah graciously accepted the offer and handed over full a five dollar note, in perfect condition.

The next day, Tom approached Hannah once again to pay her back with three one dollar coins, and a two dollar coin, bringing the grand total of coinage to five dollars, and erasing the debt owed to Hannah. They then started sitting together in home group and became best of friends, Cam was pushed aside, and so was Christine James.

The story of Tom continues, tune in tomorrow, and by tune in I mean click on the link I’ll put on Facebook or something.
