Not too long ago I was talking to whoever it was that I was talking about it with about Facebook. We were talking about what will happen after Facebook, I mean everyone was on Myspace, and now everyone converted to Facebook, so there is going to have to be another step. The other person said that they don’t think there will be a step up from Facebook, or a conversion or whatever you want to call it, simply because Facebook is too good. This was well before the most recent update that they had which makes the wall have less status updates and pretty much all it has now is just like, so and so joined this group and they became a fan of this thing and they are now friends with this person.
I decided to log onto Facebook last, as you do. I scrolled down the wall and I saw like, two statuses. Everything else down the news feed or live feed or whatever it is was just people becoming friends with people, groups or people becoming fans of things. I try not to join groups or become fans of things now days though, I mean I used to be a fan of things that popped up on the highlights if I saw it there and it was something I like, but now all the groups and pages are about little specific things that you thought you were unique by doing. I have made two groups in my Facebook career, and one fan page. The fan page was for a thing that we used to say, it was ‘PGHSHHH!!!’ it was what you say when something was so awesome that you head explodes. It worked for a little while; it worked a lot better than the awesome turtle did at least. The two groups I made are, firstly the Fucking Awesome Group, which was a group that Chris and I made and then we just invited people that we thought were fucking awesome from our friends lists, and the Sealio FC group that we made so people can find out when we are playing indoor so they can come watch.
Last night I made a new group, it was called ‘I hate Facebook groups!’ and it is a fairly self explanatory group. If you hate Facebook groups, then you should join this one; simple. If you are reading this and agree with me, you should definitely join the Facebook group for hating on Facebook groups, if not, then don’t join it. But can you at least stop joining so many groups that my wall is just... groups? I'm going to leave it at that, keep it short, and go back to sleep because I am exhausted from last night, but instead of talking about that, I talked about Facebook groups... goodnight.
