The New Moon.

I’m not gay, I just decided to go and see New Moon last night with two male friends and sit in the back row so if we decided to make out with each other no one would see... I mean, wait... yeah, I’m not gay. So because we didn’t end up seeing New Moon on Monday night, I decided to go and see it with Jadon because he was the only other keen to see it person that I know that hasn’t already seen it, and then Linou tagged along also because he hated the first one and he wanted something to criticise because he is a movie dick. Before I walked into the cinema last night, my entire knowledge of Twilight so far was based on the first film. I have not read any of the books, so going into see New Moon; I had no idea what was going to happen. So we pretty much had all three kinds of people sitting there, you had me; the guy who liked the first one and wants to see the rest, Jadon; the guy who has read all the books and loved them and is now watching the movies for good times only and Linou, the movie Nazi who hated the first one and was only seeing the second one to hate on it and lesser Jadon and I’s appreciation of the film.

It seems to be every time I go to the movies I notice this, but I noticed it again last night even more so, probably because I had my own, but movie Coke just tastes so much better than regular Coke. You see, for me, Coke is one of those drinks that I don’t like to have all the time because, I don’t know, I guess I just get bored of it or something but yeah. You get those days where you have an amazing Coke and you’re like ‘fuck me, that Coke was amazing!’ and then you get those ones that you struggle to finish and you are like ‘yeah, I don’t really think Coke is amazing’ and by you, I mean me. The Coke you get from the movies though, referred to by many, or at least me, as ‘Movie Coke’ is easily the best kind of Coke that you can get. I discussed this with Aaron the other night, now Aaron is probably the biggest Coke lover ever, wait, besides my dad maybe, but Aaron would be a close second or equal first or something highly ranked. The point of this off topic subject though is that even Aaron agreed with me, movie Coke is the best Coke, but no one knows why.

Watching the trailers before the movie, like they usually do, got me more excited for other movies, movies that aren’t New Moon. I really want to see 9, it is that new Tim Burton movie and unlike that other movie that I saw recently that is just a number, this actually looks like it will be unbelievable. I have been reading up on and watching trailers for this one for quite a while now, and I am bloody pumped for it. The movie started, and soon after that I ran out of movie Coke, which made me extremely sad, but the sadness was soon removed and then the blank space that used to be sadness was soon filled with happiness, because New Moon was just great. Now I was talking to Meb the other night and she was telling me how she read the books before the movies came out and how she hates people who have never read the books but they saw the movie and they became obsessed and all that. I know how she feels, I mean it’s similar to my Kings of Leon thing, they were the band that I used to listen to years ago and no one really knew them, but then they released Sex on Fire and pretty much everyone knew them, and then they released Use Somebody and then everybody else knew them.

I’m not obsessed with Twilight and New Moon and all that, but I think it is great. It is interesting, and bloody, fuck me, nothing looks better than a werewolf fighting a vampire. I am not even really into werewolves and vampires and that, but there is something about ‘The Twilight Saga’ as they are calling it that has just got me intrigued and makes me think that it is great. Even greater than that other vampire movie; Blade... but Blade was shit. As we left the cinema, the look on Jadon’s face said ‘that was so good’, and then I asked him what he thought and he said ‘that was so good’ so as you can expect, I was very happy with my face reading skills at this point. I then turned towards Linou and his facial expression said ‘yeah, that movie was not as bad as I thought it was going to be’ so I asked him what he thought and he said ‘yeah, that movie was not as bad as I thought it was going to be’. At this stage I was sure of two things, New Moon was great, and that I am probably the best facial expression reader in the world... oh, maybe besides Edward Cullen.
